Background

This is a very productive plant, producing up to 4 inch long slender pods that ripen from green to bright red. The pods are similar in shape as Paper Lantern, but are larger. The flavor is different too, being less ‘habby’, more sweet/fruity.

Review

The pod was very crunchy and juicy. It had a good solid base sweetness and some fruit tones. The heat on this particular pod was a little less than habanero, but some others I’ve sampled from the same plant were a little hotter.
