Background

The Scotch Bonnet is a popular Caribbean habanero type pepper. They generally have a fruitier flavor and more or less heat than standard orange habaneros. They are a popular ingredient in jerk sauce, and many other sauces, powders and seasonings.

Review

The pod was extremely thick walled, crunchy and juicy. It had a very fruity flavor, with no bitterness. The heat on this particular pod was a little less than orange hab level, but another pod I tried off the same plant was hotter. The heat was very smooth.
