White Devil's Tail pod
White Devil’s Tail

Background

The seeds for my plant came from Jesus Rosario, but the original creator is Scott Bissette of the Garden Pit. The plants are very prolific, with beautiful white pods.

Notes

Pod weight: 9.1 grams
Amount eaten: 1/2 pod
Heat: 6
Flavor:  4 – Floral/grocery store hab like, but clean
Burn Profile: Tongue
Effects: hiccups
Cap Cramps:  None

Review

When I cut open the pod I noticed a lot of oil droplets coating the inside. That should have been an indication to go cautiously. I had seen a couple other reviews of this pepper got the impression it wasn’t too hot, so I ate half a pod. It was hotter than I anticipated but not super hot. The heat was very intense but short lived. I didn’t like the flavor much fresh. It had a habby/chinensy type flavor, but it was very clean. A little bitter toward the end.
