Scotch Bonnet, Peach

Capsicum chinense

This is a peach colored variety of Scotch Bonnet, which is a Capsicum chinense pepper often found growing in the Carribean islands.

This pod was grown by Aaron Hernandez.

Amount eaten: Whole pod
Heat: 3
Flavor: 8
Burn Profile: All around mouth burn.
Effects:  none
Cap Cramps:  None.

Upon cutting I saw several droplets of Capsicum oil, not a ton of seeds, a normal amount of placental tissue. The aroma was very pungent, strong fruity and chinense type smell. I got a lot of fruitiness and citrus when chewing. It did not have any floral or bitter flavor that I could detect. It produced an all-around mouth burn with habanero level heat.
