2017 Pepper grow update #20 - 10/02/17
Update on my pepper grow for Oct 02, 2017. The plants seem to be recovering well since I got my fert injector back online. Have a lot to pick and process.
* at about 5:32, the peppers I call Jay's Peach Ghost Scorpion are actually Sugar Rush Peach.
2017 Pepper grow update #19 - 09/16/17
This is a short update. Peppers on the drip system seem okay but are starting to look nutrient deficient. My fert injector has been offline for a couple of weeks now. I've had a difficult time getting the part I need to fix it. I ordered it last week, but it was never delivered even though the USPS tracking said it was. I'm trying to get another one sent out. It was the ceramic sleeve inside the injector that broke. I ordered a knynar sleeve replacement, which is supposed to be more durable. In the video I made a reference to having to hand water the plants, what I meant was hand feed them. They are still getting water through the drip system, just not getting the nutrients.
2017 Pepper grow update #18 - 09/03/17
2017 Pepper grow update #18. I show an update on my drip system and porch peppers. Also show new additions, Orange Manzano in 32 gallon Kratky setup. And two gretel egpplants in a 27 gallon Kratky setup. The plants are doing well. Only issues I'm having is lack of proper plant support on some plants. A little bit of insect damage too.
Helios Habanero plant - Low pressure aeroponic system update - 08/25/17
This is the second update of my version 2 low pressure aeroponic system. See how I made this here. https://youtu.be/K3UltTltmWc
I'm growing a Helios Habanero plant in it and it has become not only huge, but very productive. So far I've harvested 200 pods, with many more still on the plant. The 200 pods weighted about 2.41 pounds/1091 grams. Average weight per pod is 5.5 grams.

Low-pressure aeroponic system version 2 - Progress update #1
Low pressure aeroponic system v. 2 - Progress update #1
This is my first update on my new version of the DIY low pressure aeroponic system that I made. The habanero pepper plant is growing very well and producing lots of hot peppers. I'm feeding it dyna-gro 7-9-5 at 6 mL per gallon. You can see my build video for this system here - https://youtu.be/K3UltTltmWc I'm very pleased with it so far. It addresses the issues I encountered with the first version of this aeroponic system.
2017 Pepper Grow update #13 - 06/24/17
Pepper grow update 13. The drip irrigated plants are looking better since I increased the nutrients. Several plants have pods. My CARDI Yellow Scorpion has several pods almost ripe.
2017 Pepper grow update #12 - 06/10/17
My drip system and fert injector are fully operational. The plants look a little yellow, but I started the nutrients at a fairly low strength. I just started increasing that, so you should see a big difference in the next update.
My drip system was purchased through Drip Depot (link) https://goo.gl/wACNrM

2017 Pepper grow update #11 - 05/28/17
I finally got the drip system going, with fert injector attached. I'm not sure if the fert injector is working properly. The output strength seems a little low. I'm going to contact Dyna-gro and ask what the strength should be at the 10 oz/gal mix. What I'm getting now is 200 ppm. I should be able to add four more plants to the drip system. I'll make a quick video then showing how I hook those up, and how the drip system works in general.
My Jamaican Hot Chocolate has root rot. I think I'm going to just pull it, but will take a few cuttings first to propagate for next year. I already have one cutting that has rooted.
The other plants are doing well. The wick buckets and self watering container plants are looking good. I have a few more plants that I still need to find homes for. I'm planning to setup a comparative grow between Dyna-gro 7-9-5 and MasterBlend also using Orange Habs.

Pepper grow update #10 - 05/14/17
In this video I show my Chemilizer fert injector setup and how the whole setup will be mounted together. I also show my drip system and how I am redoing the main and secondary drip lines. I'll order some more tubing from Drip Depot (https://goo.gl/VJ8DVC) to finish it. My outdoor porch plants look good. I'm noticing some differences in the wick buckets. Overall it seem like the two I have are showing smaller leaves, but seem to be growing fine. I found the aphids of the season today on my Helios Hab that's in the low pressure aeroponic system. I mixed up some fresh pyrethrin from concentrate and sprayed it and the other porch peppers really well. I'm still in the process of hardening off my other plants and should have them ready by end of the week.
All of my drip system parts are from Drip Depot: https://goo.gl/Ddu20m
The Pyrethrin concentrate mentioned in the video is Bonide brand, and I purchased it from : https://goo.gl/vCUZjN
