This is the 2nd annual plane wreck pod test. Each year, Phillip and I hike to a remote location in the mountains of western North Carolina to eat a pepper next abandoned plane wreckage. This one just down of the Browning Knob peak. Coordinates are Lat 35.463467, Long -83.132200. It is the same plane crash in the woods we visited last year. The pod for this year is the Aji Tangerine, a C. baccatum cross created by Susan Garza. Live streamed pod test of Chocolate Champion pepper sent by Aaron Hernandez. This pepper was grown and sent to me by Aaron. The Chocolate Champion pepper is purported to be over 1.6 million Scoville units based on average Scovilles from 10 pods submitted by Redwood City Seed Company. http://www.ecoseeds.com/ The heat to me, on this particular pod, didn't seem 1.6 million hot, but it was up there, was a nice pod. The company advertises it to be hotter than the Carolina Reaper.
